Welcome back to our New Home of the Month series, where we showcase fabulous holidaylettings.co.uk homes from around the world. In March, a quirky rooftop apartment in Buenos Aires got our attention, but this month we’re enchanted by a Disney-themed apartment in Orlando, Florida.
Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a superbly refurbished apartment, ideal for any family wanting to experience the magic of Disney first-hand. From stunning painted murals on bedroom walls to Disney-themed kitchen appliances, there are references to all of your favourite characters at every turn. It’s almost like stepping into a familiar fairytale.
But the apartment hasn’t been designed solely with the kids in mind. The tasteful living room is a mature haven of calm. The neutral tones, oak floor and warming orange sofa make this a space all the family can enjoy. Plus, the stylish six-seater dining table is the perfect place for family feasts, whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. Slide open the glass doors and you’ll discover a special spot on the terrace, where you can sit in the Floridian sun from dawn until dusk.
Like kicking back in front of the box? There’s also a 60 inch LED Smart TV, offering hundreds of HD channels and Blu-ray at the touch of the button. Imagine watching the latest titles on that! Well, only after the little ones have gone to bed, of course.
The kitchen has everything you’d possibly need during your stay… and then some. If you like to prepare your own food, there’s a double stainless steel fridge freezer, gas cooker and microwave. The Disney fanatics will love waking up to the outline of Mickey Mouse on their morning toast, not to mention the themed cups, plates and bowls featuring many familiar faces.
The fun and games continue into the kids’ room, where you’ll find tonnes of great board games to play, funky bunk beds to sleep in and a magical painted wall that will spark any child’s imagination. But youngsters: be warned. You might struggle getting the ‘big kids’ out of the room when they find out it comes with its own retro air hockey table!
After an exhausting day, getting to sleep won’t be a problem in the master bedroom. Let the luxurious queen-sized bed take away the stresses and strains as you relax in the elegantly decorated room. And if the LED TV in the living room wasn’t enough, there’s another big screen in the bedroom. So if you feel you need some space away from the rest of the family, you’ve got it.
But that’s not all folks, as both bedrooms come with their own adjoining en-suite bathrooms too, so you’ll also be able to have the luxury of privacy during your stay.
Families who love Disney, of course! ‘Mickey Mouse Condo’ is located in the much-desired Windsor Hills area of Orlando, less than two miles from the gates of the world famous theme park, so you couldn’t pick a better place to stay. No need for painful bus trips to and from the attractions, the magic is only a short and stress-free stroll away. But it isn’t just about the location. The apartment itself has ample space for chilled out evenings, plenty of fun things to keep the kids entertained and a sophisticated master bedroom and en-suite. Even Mum and Dad can get some much needed R&R. What more could you want?
If you’ve got your heart set on a trip to Disney World, you’d be hard pushed to find a better place to stay than Windsor Hills. It’s super convenient, incredibly safe and has all the amenities a traveller could possible ask for in a five-star resort. Right on the doorstep of ‘Mickey Mouse Condo’ is a double Olympic-sized heated swimming pool, lagoon spa, children’s playground, intimate movie theatre, gaming arcade, tennis courts and, if that wasn’t enough, a nine-hole putting green. If you don’t feel like leaving the resort for a day or two, you certainly won’t be struggling for things to keep you, and the little ones, out of mischief.
